I've tried it and got a high traffic keyword for one of my page but the bounce rate it 99% and most of the visitors just land on that page for a split second. Even if you have adsense on your site and have lots of poor quality visitors, smart pricing will be much worst. So just stick on targeting keywords related to your site. Actually the only benefit might be the webmaster can increase the alexa rank by increased volume of traffic but won't help you earn on affiliate commissions.
