Traffic exchange is a good traffic generator, the traffic visiting your site depends on how much time you spend on surfing other’s website. Although you can get as much as traffic you like, there’s a question whether they have an interest to browsing to your site.
Most likely, the traffic you can get with these traffic exchange websites are those visitors who’s only interest is just to earn credits so there will be more exchanged traffic visiting their site.
I’m not telling they don’t work, actually they do work, follow your intuition on how you can make them work. Maybe you can get a higher ranking in Alexa if you get more traffic, maybe a higher position in some search engines.
Try to make your website appealing in just a glance, or make an immediate impression to make a traffic exchanger give more time reading your site. Or think of something that you can get from them just for a few seconds of visiting your site, eg. Subscribe form, using this strategy, you will know that the guy who subscribe to your site is interested with your product, it just happen that there’s not much time to browse your site.
