I was reading some post in a SEO forum and someone ask “what is affiliate marketing?”. Without a doubt, many replied to this post.
Some said that you must be skilled in search engine optimization(SEO), some says you must know how to use pay per click(PPC), many says that you should start with market research or top notch keyword research.
As you can see most of these skill sets are needed when you want to start online affiliate marketing. But what does affiliate marketing really means?
Is it just creating sites that full of your own affiliate links and then driving traffic into it? Is it knowing the latest loophole or trick in search engines? I’m not saying these are not needed, but, is that how we define affiliate marketing?
If you are doing all those things, maybe you’re one of those top affiliates in your chosen niche. If not, then you may want to ask yourself, “why?”. Maybe you’re missing some of the latest tricks in driving traffic, or maybe you’re not just really doing marketing.
Don’t get me wrong, I have review sites, niche sites, and anything that you might want to think…lolz… But during those times, I’m thinking…is this affiliate marketing? am I adding real value to this products? how do I add value to these products as an affiliate?
But how do we really define it?
And of course, I want you to ask yourself…”how did the latest internet marketing guru’s product reach me?”…

The best way is to make partnerships with other sites. If you have quality content, make it available to others and this will easily drive traffic to your site.
Hope this helps

It’s not the latest tricks. It’s not SEO. Those are just techniques, means to an end. The end is preselling. And to be successful in that, you need trust. And to be successful in that, you need to add value to as many people’s experience as possible. So affiliate marketing means building quality relationships with tribes of people online.

Affiliate Marketing, in plain language is getting paid to sell other peoples stuff. Promoting their products and getting a percentage of the sale. I find it to be much better than Network Marketing although some would not agree. I would rather help promote a product rather than running down people who have no idea of how to run a network marketing business.

Affiliate marketing is promoting other peoples products for a hefty commission. It’s all about finding a niche you KNOW about with keywords that you could easily rank for in google that get alot of searches! once the traffics there your earning on autopilot!

the secret to affiliate marketing is always targeted traffic from developed countries like us, uk and canada. affiliate marketing would not give you a good income if you try it on asian internet traffic.
