Adwords Help with Quality Score

Posted on 26 September 2007 by KantonFC

For all those who are using Adwords to promote their business, I’m you know about the Quality Score of the keywords you bid. Well as far as I know, it is one of those variable that is needed to know the minimum bid for a specific keyword you are bidding. For those who are not using Adwords to promote their business or website, this element is needed for you to rank higher and bid lower for the keyword you have chosen to bid.

For those who are familiar with Adwords, I am calling for help.hehehe..

I started to promote a specific website with the minimum bid but within almost 24 hours of running my campaign, Google slapped my that specific Adwords’ campaign and I need to increase my minimum bid just to show the advertisement when that specific keyword phrase was searched and of course I hate that. Who does want to increase the minimum bid?

So I tried to tweak my landing page for those keywords I have chosen, but still nothing happened for few minutes, so I think I must wait for few days just to see the result whether the minimum bid decreases.

Google said that there’s a lot of factors that affects the minimum bid for a specific keyword or phrase, although I feel that my keywords are targeted, it seems that it’s not with Google. So we need to follow what they want.

I also tried to change my advertisements so it will be more matched with my keywords, but still the same, or do I need to wait for few days for the result? Well I don’t know.

As you may know, I reviewed Google Cash eBook and I said that every Adwords player should have this guide just to be ahead of the competition? Yes, you and I need it. But we need the basics on how to use the Adwords.

So as of now, I’m tweaking my campaign to escape that sudden increase in Cost-per-click(CPC). Tweaking my landing page, keywords, text advertisements, almost everything.

Without knowing what are the changes with Adwords or other PPC, any eBook won’t help. Of course except the topic that is mainly discussing how to use Adwords. So, know how to use the Adwords or other Pay Per Click (PPC) adverstising and what are their rules then enhance with those “how to” manuals.

As of now, I’m struggling on how to increase the “Quality Score” of my ad campaigns to lower my cost on advertisements. If you have any suggestion, don’t hesitate to put a comment here and I’ll try to reach you to get help.:D

Adwords vs Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN)

Posted on 15 September 2007 by KantonFC

Most of pay per click advertisers know these two PPC companies. For those who haven’t tried any them and wondering which is better, don’t worry.

As of now I am evaluating these two PPC networks based on:

  • Competition on keywords
  • Click Through Rate
  • Impression of specific keywords (Searches)
  • Pricing :)
  • User Friendly

I am running two the same advertisements with the same range of keywords. I’ll check the result after few days of running my campaign.

Weeding out high priced keywords.

Are bidding too much for a particular keyword in Pay per click advertising just to promote an affiliate program?

Many are paying too much money for a single keyword just to get their advertisement shown from the top. As you may know, the price of the keyword won’t get a high price if there’s not much competing for that particular keyword. So what happened, you will be bidding a little higher for that keyword just to stay on top or just to get listed.

Why this thing happen? Lack of experience in bidding? Lack of research? Or lack of knowledge about pay per click advertising? It’s for you to answer.

I found out that you can get on the top of a listing even you bid at minimum price on a particular keyword. You just need to have a great imagination.

  1. Put yourself into customer’s shoes
  2. Imagine you are the one who is searching for a particular product, what you’re going to search and type in?
  3. Do a research on a particular keyword you just came across.
  4. If the bid is to high, leave it to them, if not go ahead and bid.
  5. Wash, rinse, repeat.

If you are a “newbie” in Pay per click advertising, don’t bid too high at first if you aren’t sure about the “return”.

Again, you can get the clicks from your advertisement even if you don’t bid high on a particular keyword.

Playing Adwords – Sure win?

Posted on 03 September 2007 by KantonFC

Have you heard the word Google Adwords? It’s one of the Google’s advertising programs for those advertisers who wants to gain some exposure of their products or site.

If you have a product or site that needs some exposure to the mass, Adwords is a great solution to kill the competition of Search Engine Optimization. You will get visitors, if not, customers searching for an information that “maybe” your site is offering.

If you want to earn money using Google Adwords, be careful.

Many “Internet Marketers” are claiming that they can earn money by using Adwords. And you don’t know that these marketers are slowly sucking you into their reality of making money using Adwords. Sure you can be one of them, but take into account that they aren’t just those newbie that are “exploring” this kind of Pay-Per-Click(PPC) advertising.

Sooner or later, you will be tempted to try PPC to promote some of your affiliates, wishing that a great ROI will come after you tried the program. Remember, you need to have an extensive research if you don’t want to lose much money in this kind of program. If you jumped into advertising without having enough research, don’t get mad if you are losing too much.

Don’t swim into the pool without knowing how deep the water is.

Other internet marketers will use Adwords to promote their website, specifically made for Adsense. In that way, they can earn few bucks if someone clicked on their shown ads. This type of method is sometimes referred to as “Black Hat”.

Again, if you want to try Adwords for promoting affiliates, watch for everyday expense for you ads. It can be very expensive if you don’t know how to control them. Try to test how the water runs first, so atleast you will have some idea on how it works.

I suggest you to read my review with Google Cash if you want to win-win situation with Adwords.
