Adwords become too strict?

Posted on 03 November 2010 by KantonFC

Unless you use Adwords everyday, then you should know that they always change the rules. Few days ago, maybe 1 month back, there’s a sudden change in the rules and it seems that affiliate marketers are mostly affected.

The rules are something like, you can’t directly link to the site of the product you are promoting, you can’t gather visitor’s details, etc.

We’ll, I heard that many have avoided Adwords after this change, and of course there are some who were born persistent. Continue Reading

Do you manage your PPC campaigns?

Posted on 12 April 2009 by KantonFC

Last few weeks, I started to start another pay per click campaign to test some waters. When I started the campaign, I didn’t look into it and only came back after few days. To my surprise, many of my keywords were given a “POOR” quality score. And most of them are the keywords that have a lot of impressions.

So if you want to start a PPC campaign, make sure you can keep an eye to every keyword especially to those keywords that receive many impressions.

Since I didn’t manage that campaign well, I didn’t notice that CTR for those keywords that have a lot of impressions doesn’t meet the minimum Adwords CTR and I have to pay extra to improve their ranking.

Lesson learned?

Keep an eye for every keyword you have in your campaign. If they are nearing the minimum CTR, do everything you can do to make it live. If you can’t do anything, try to pause those keywords; which I did for some of the keywords, until you are ready to observe them regularly.

Another Keyword Research Software?

Posted on 16 February 2009 by KantonFC

As an affiliate marketer, you should know that one of the steps you should be doing is by doing keyword research. Ok, that’s not new. But I want to ask you…

Do you know whether the keyword you’ll be using for your PPC or SEO campaign will be profitable? You wouldn’t know unless you have seen the results, right? Especially if you rely on keyword research software.

After long hours of doing keyword research, you’ll feel tired and yet still thinking whether it would be worth of your effort. That’s ok, unless you love doing keyword research, you wouldn’t feel lazy.

But…

What if I told you that there’s a simple way to do keyword research and of course, instantly know whether these keywords are profitable.

Seems impossible? Hahaha…

Do you know the saying that you should know who your competitors are? By knowing who among of your competitors have the profitable keywords and knowing what these keywords are, will lessen your tedious task in doing keyword research. And as a bonus, those profitable keywords have been selected for you. Now, that’s “let others do work for you” in action.

The other day, I downloaded this FireFox Keyword Research plugin that will instantly reveal what keywords your competitors are bidding in PPC. After I searched for a specific keyword, all the keywords that my competitors are bidding shown on my computer screen. And I was really shocked with that plugin. I didn’t know that there are such geniuses who can really make the keyword research easier than before.

I know you are now thinking what’s that plug-in… And the more I give you the idea, the more like to use it as soon as possible…

By the way, I’m not telling just competitors, they are those top competitors that are hiding from every affiliate marketer so nobody will know what their doing.

But of course, not now because you can now easily see what keywords they have.

So are you ready?

Posted on 27 July 2008 by KantonFC

Few days ago, I planned to create a new PPC campaign using Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing. And of course, all the researching has been made beforehand. Like product and keyword research. Now, after all these researching, I felt lazy to create the PPC campaign because I have to create the campaign manually and I have to do it on both Adwords and YSM so I think of a better solution.
